Well if u r a paying customer, u didn't like the product that u bought. Forget it and move on and u knew b4 buying that its non-refundable and cannot be taken back whether u like it or not. Before buying the product u very well knew what u were buying dint u? So live with it. :D
that might be your attitude. some people have a different opinion and dont like to bend over when circumstances try to screw them. If you pay for something and get a lemon you might be ok with living with it and moving on, saying its non-refundable. Many others dont share that view. They'll fight for a replacement, a fix, some solution to the problem.
If all you can do is bend over, then move on, you are wasting your time on IV.

My company filed labor application on 13th September 2010 and it was approved on 2nd November 2010. Now getting ready for I-140. I thought I will share this info with the forum

I just spoke to a lady at USCIS and she told me they just started working on case receipts for July 2nd and onwards so in next couple of weeks most of you who filed in first week of july should see their receipts..this is what she told me and she sounded very authentic..

Was away on business travel for last 3 days.
Coming to your friend and his call, the information i passed on is what i got from rep.
Looks like there are lot of applications received by USCIS on july 2.
Hopefully we get some direction by next weekend.
Hang in there. We are all on the same boat in still waters.:eek:

I was dumbfounded when I first found this out. The man must have real conviction, courage and belief in himself and this effort to do such a selfless act and I am not even talking about the hours and hours of time, mental energy, physical stress and emotional capital he must have invested into OUR effort and I am not talking about all that because that is immeasurable and there is not much we can do to repay all that back but apart from being for ever indebted there is something we can do.
We can reach for our wallets and repay IV core members who have contributed selflessly to OUR cause.
Every one of us has benefited in some way or the other because of our association to IV and who do we have to thank but the core team who have put so much on the line for OUR cause.

IV Core,
What is IV's position on ammendents for people who have filed PERM only and have not filed I-140 yet.
There shall be an ammendement which allows these people to keep using old system(EB) to get their green card.
It is totally un-fair to null and void their application and get them into new point based systems and force them to face long delays.
Please let us know.

It really becomes ridiculous. You are totally mistaking the purpose of the CIR. It
s not a policy bill, it's a bill about tweaking the existing policy. Giving everyone a priority date based on his/her date of the arrival to the states is to admit that H1b visa is an immigrant visa, which is not. Don't push an envelope too hard, it might backfire in the most unusual way.

Durbin also got one "favorable" amm. for us - another $1500 for each recaptured visa number. I believe after all expenses, and all time spended on the immigration and exams, majority of us could deal with that extra cost, or "bonus" if you like::))) So I hope that Durbin's amm. will calm down anti-immigrant forses and Cornin'n one will pass!

Inspite of the new spillover policy and the additional FB visa's the EB2-I has retrogressed. This shows there is quite a bit of EB2-I demand. Regarding EB3I movement, donno when it will come out of the 2001 slump. The actual bulletin might show the ROW movement that could provide some hint to how the spillover can influence the EB2I forward movements.

We can request participation from other ethnic organizations, but that would be minimal unless they are victims of July VB bulletin.
If the cause was overall legal immigration, certainly we can request/demand such participation.

i just returned from an infopass meeting... the guy i talked to said that they recently have a directive from the DHS/USCIS that they want to separate the legal stuff from the illegal stuff and hence they are planning to adjudicate a record number of EB apps in the next quarter or two... does anyone else concur? is this true or were my ears just ringing in that meeting?

Well, I had a Infopass last week to check on a Soft LUD on my I-140, I heard slightly different story, they did not say adjudicating the EB application, but Process the EB application, which I guess what they were saying is pre-adjudicating the cases, in the last few weeks with lot of cases being transferred (both EB2/EB3) to different offices, pre-adjudicating the cases makes sense....but hey, we are talking about USCIS here, we never know, whatever you heard could be true too......
One piece of information that made me happy reading your comment was "a directive from the DHS/USCIS that they want to separate the legal stuff from the illegal stuff", this is good news.....but wondering what does legal/illegal mean to USCIS anyway......and how does it help us from retrogression point of view??

My employer emailed them but no reply yet. My H1 is expiring Dec 1, 2007. I guess I better apply for H4 thru spouse.
